Minister of State for Railways Raosaheb Danve has said that Indian Railways suffered losses to the tune of ₹36,000 crore during the COVID-19 pandemic. "Passenger train segment always runs into losses. Since increasing the ticket fares affects the passengers, we cannot do so," he added. Danve also said that a bullet train project would be executed along the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway.
