The Supreme Court on Sunday asked solicitor general Tushar Mehta to bring two letters to court at 10.30am on Monday for scrutiny: one by Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar pledging NCP’s support to BJP and the other by chief minister Devendra Fadnavis staking claim to form government. After this, SC would decide on the joint plea by Shiv Sena, NCP (under Sharad Pawar) and Congress for an immediate composite floor test. In doing so, the bench brushed aside Mehta’s request for two days to produce the letters.
