Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who won from Kerala's Wayanad, on Thursday took oath as a Lok Sabha MP and wore a Kerala Kasavu saree, a prominent off-white saree with gold border typical in Malayali festivities. Her attire seemed to be a subtle hint of being actively working in Wayanad.
Holding a Constitution book in her hand, 52-year-old Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took oath in the presence of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and MPs seated in Parliament. Her brother Rahul Gandhi, mother Sonia Gandhi, husband Robert Vadra and their children and Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge were present at the event.
