United State President Joe Biden and his deputy Kamala Harris on Tuesday formally announced their 2024 re-election bid in a new video which the duo posted on their social media account.
The 80-year-old president has asked voters to give him one more chance to "finish the job", saying that his age won’t impede his ability to govern.
In a video released today, Joe Biden framed next year's contest as a "fight against Republican extremism", stating that he would need more time to fully realise his vow to restore the nation's character.
"When I ran for president four years ago, I said we are in a battle for the soul of America. And we still are," the president said in the video.
