Political strategist Prashant Kishor has resigned as Principal Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh ahead of the 2022 Assembly election in the state.
He was appointed to the position in March this year and had already held meetings with state government officials and MLAs. He was expected to design Amarinder’s campaign for the next assembly election.
Sources said Kishor in his resignation letter to the Chief Minister said, “As you are aware, in view of my decision to take a temporary break from an active role in public life, I have not been able to take over the responsibilities as your Principal Advisor. Since I am yet to decide on my future course of action, I write to request you to kindly relieve me from this responsibility.”The Chief Minister’s Office has not confirmed yet that they have received the resignation
