Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Rampal Kashyap, a resident of Kaithal, Haryana, who had taken an extraordinary vow 14 years ago: to remain barefoot until Modi became Prime Minister and he could meet him in person.
During his visit to Yamunanagar on Sunday, PM Modi met Kashyap and personally helped him wear shoes, symbolically fulfilling the man’s long-held promise.
