At the inauguration of the longest bridge over Lohit river, PM announced that the name of the bridge will be changed to Bhupen Hazarika, after the famous Assamese singer who was born in Sadiya. The bridge is expected to ease travel time and be a boon to the residents of Sadiya. Modi praised the north-east states for embracing organic farming.
