Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Dehradun, Uttarakhand and inaugurate and lay foundation stone of multiple projects worth around Rs 18,000 crore on December 4. This includes the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor to be built at a cost of around Rs 8300 crore.
The Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor will reduce the travel time from Delhi to Dehradun from 6 hours to around 2.5 hours. It will have seven major interchanges for connectivity to Haridwar, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Yamunagar, Baghpat, Meerut and Baraut, the PMO said.
