PM Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation with Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on COVID-19. "Sri Lanka is fighting COVID-19 effectively under [Gotabaya's] leadership. India will continue to support our close maritime neighbour in dealing with [COVID-19] and its economic impact," said PM Modi. "We agreed to accelerate Indian-assisted development projects in Sri Lanka," he added.
