Addressing a poll rally in West Bengal on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit out at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee saying she did not care to express regret after a "leader very close to her" called Scheduled Castes "beggars". PM Modi attacked Mamata Banerjee over TMC candidate Sujata Mondal's comments against the Scheduled Castes equating them with beggars. 

"Didi calls herself a Royal Bengal Tiger. You tell me is it possible for someone to say such things without her permission? Such comments hurt the soul of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. You have committed the biggest mistake, the biggest sin by insulting Dalits, Didi," PM Modi said at an election rally in Bardhaman.
