Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday left a note in the visitor's book of the Smruti Mandir in Nagpur, which has memorials of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, and second sarsanghchalak (chief) MS Golwalkar.
He said that the Sangh's memorial served as an "inspiration" to "step forward in service to the nation".
"I bow with deep reverence to the revered Dr. Hedgewar Ji and the venerable Guru Ji, remembering their legacy. Visiting this temple of memories fills me with inspiration. The values of Indian culture, nationalism, and organizational dedication are embodied in this sacred place, inspiring us to step forward in service to the nation," he said.
The note written in Hindi and signed by PM Modi further read, "This place of these two strong pillars of Sangh is a source of energy for lakhs of volunteers dedicated to the service of the country. May the glory of Mother India continue to shine forever through our efforts!"
