Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep sorrow over the death of veteran industrialist Ratan Tata, who passed away at the age of 86 in Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital late on Wednesday night.
In his message of condolence, PM Modi described Tata as a “visionary business leader, a compassionate soul, and an extraordinary human being.”
“Shri Ratan Tata Ji provided stable leadership to one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses,” PM Modi said, adding that Tata’s influence extended far beyond the corporate world. “He endeared himself to several people thanks to his humility, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to making our society better.”
