The two leaders meet in tense times in Astana, Kazakhstan where Narendra Modi gave a call for respecting each other’s core concerns. It is the first meeting between the two leaders after India boycotted the Belt and Road Forum in Beijing last month. Jinping said his country is willing to cooperate with India within the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organisation) framework.
