PM Narendra Modi on Friday met Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during the latter's official two-day visit and was briefed on the situation in Ukraine, including the ongoing peace negotiations. The Prime Minister's Office said PM reiterated his call for early cessation of violence and conveyed India's readiness to contribute in any way to the peace efforts.
