In what could be a relief for a large number exporters awaiting export refunds after enactment of GST laws, the Gujarat high court has ordered the Centre, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and customs department to pay export refunds to a city-based export firm. The court also directed authorities to pay the due with 9% interest for the delay caused in the process. The HC on Wednesday ordered the government to make the payment within two months.
