You may soon be unable to race your vehicle beyond the maximum speed limit. A panel appointed by transport ministry has recommended inclusion of a feature in the electronic control unit (ECU) in vehicles which will not allow them to run at a speed exceeding 10% of the maximum limit.
The panel has submitted its report to Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari along with its recommendations to increase the speed limit on expressways and national highways for different categories of vehicles.
