India has rejected Pakistan's move of granting provisional-provincial status to Gilgit-Baltistan, adding that the attempt is "intended to camouflage its (Pakistan's) illegal occupation". Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said "the area of so-called Gilgit-Baltistan" is an integral part of India and Pakistan has no locus standi on territories illegally occupied by it.
