Thirteen people were injured and more than 30 people, including Indian Army jawans, are believed to be trapped after a three-storey building collapsed near Kumarhatti in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district on Sunday afternoon.
District authorities have launched a rescue operation with a National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team on its way from Panchkula. So far, the authorities have rescued 10 people and the injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals.
According to reports the Army jawans had stopped to have their lunch at the place when the building collapsed. Other Army personnel have reached the spot but they are not adequately equipped and do not have sensors and cutters.
