China clearly stated that despite its promotion of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor as an economic undertaking, its position on the Kashmir issue had remained unchanged. Chinese Foreign Ministry said, “With regard to the CPEC, China has been stressing that it is an economic programme. China’s promotion of the programme doesn’t mean that we have changed our position on it.”
