Even as the city battles unabated spike of Covid-19, the state government has directed doctors to start functioning from their hospitals, clinics and nursing homes within 48 hours or lose licences.
In an order on Wednesday, Rajiv Kumar Gupta, ACS (forest & environment) appointed incharge of Covid-19 control in Ahmedabad, said private clinics, nursing homes and hospitals are to start within 48 hours. “They will lose their licences otherwise. Doctors not opening their clinics have been asked to take care of patients at Covid care centers or asymptomatic patients at home,” said the order.
