Home Minister Amit Shah said in an interview that "right now Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) has been brought, so discussions should be on the same". On being asked if National Register of Citizens (NRC) has been put in cold storage, Shah added, "When did I say that?" This comes after he claimed that there is no talk of NRC now.
