The Election Commission has decided not to extend postal ballot facility to citizens above 65 years in Bihar Assembly elections and by-elections. However, the facility will be extended to persons with disabilities, those who are above 80 years, those in essential services, and COVID-19 patients or suspects in quarantine. Bihar has created additional 34,000 polling stations due to COVID-19.
