Mumbai Police has set guidelines for New Year's eve and said that no parties will be allowed on December 31 night. Mumbai Police DCP S Chaitanya said, "Every year huge public gathering takes place in Mumbai for celebration of New Year, however, this year it won't be possible due to Covid-19 restrictions. First, no party is allowed at all this year in Mumbai. No party at roof tops, terrace, bars and restaurants, beaches, etc no party at all this year."
