There is no "safe" amount of alcohol for consumption and it can lead to at least 7 types of cancer, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO). In a statement published in The Lancet Public Health journal, the agency said there is no evidence of any threshold where the carcinogenic effects of alcohol start. Even a small amount can lead to a rise in the risk of getting cancer.
