Alleging the misuse of central agencies such as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to frame their leaders, nine Opposition leaders have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that no action was taken against corrupt politicians who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief Chandrasekhar Rao, Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) chief Farooq Abdullah, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, expressed their concerns over the deteriorating image of central agencies.
