Amid the concerns over the Omicron COVID-19 variant, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has decided to increase the RT-PCR testing by around 30% per day. NMMC will also create a separate isolation ward for people coming from countries of concern and if they're found positive. "We're conducting around 7,000-8,000 RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen tests daily," NMMC Commissioner Abhijit Bangar said.
