Within minutes, the fire enveloped 1Above, a swish vegetarian-only lounge, adjoining Mojo’s Bistro in the bustling Kamala Mills compound, trapping guests in enclosed spaces with narrow exits. All casualties were caused by suffocation, most of them women attending birthday parties or family gatherings.
