Nifty closed above 9,300 for the first time ever. Equity benchmarks rallied for the second consecutive session. The Sensex surged 287.40 points and the Nifty gained 88.65 points, backed by banking and financials, FMCG and Reliance Industries. However, TCS fell 0.8 percent on rupee appreciation.
