There is a need to look for new COVID-19 mutants because they "can reach anywhere, [at] any time", National Centre for Disease Control Director Dr SK Singh said on Tuesday. He said the government is currently monitoring Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta and Delta Plus variants of COVID-19. "There are two variants under investigation- Kappa and B.1.617.3," said Dr Singh.
