Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu was on Sunday appointed as the President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee by interim chief Sonia Gandhi. Sidhu had earlier held meetings with Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and leader Rahul Gandhi in Delhi. A panel was also constituted to end the differences between Punjab CM Amarinder Singh and Sidhu ahead of Assembly polls.
