Residents of a 20-storey housing complex in Kandivli, Mumbai, are saving around ₹2 lakh on electricity through various methods. The 230 families together installed a 65kW rooftop solar panel system and replaced all regular lights in the building’s common areas with energy-efficient LED bulbs. Out of the 863 units consumed per day, only 337 are drawn from the electricity grid.
