MUMBAI: A huge fire broke out on Tuesday in a building in Mumbai's Bandra West area. The building houses the state-run telecom company MTNL and is situated behind the Bandra fire station. 14 fire engines are at the spot to douse the fire.
Four fire tenders were rushed to the spot in the first batch to bring the blaze under control. One quick response vehicle, an ambulance and six water tankers to the spot. No injuries or casualties had been reported at the time of filing this report.
Chief Fire Officer P Rahangdale said, “The entire building is smoke logged, and few people are reportedly trapped on upper floors. Rescue and firefighting operations are going on.”
