In the Cleanliness Survey 2017 conducted by the Ministry of Urban Development in 500 cities, Mumbai hasn’t made it to the top ten. Mumbai ranked 10^th last year with 73 cities participating in it.  DNA sources said, it has failed to make it to the top 20. Reasons are no segregation of waste, lack of participation by city residents etc.
