Mumbai on Wednesday reported 2,510 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, nearly 82% higher than Tuesday when the city reported 1,377 fresh cases. One person died while 251 recovered from the disease. The patient who died had co-morbidities and was aged above 60 years. Earlier, Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray had predicted Mumbai will see over 2,000 new coronavirus cases today.
