The 82-year-old beggar in Mumbai identified as Biradichand Pannaramji Azad was run over by a local train whose body was later found by Vashi Government Railway Police (GRP). Police officials took 8 hours to count his coins. What surprised many was the beggar had stashed Rs 1.75 lakh in coins in his shanty, Rs 8.77 lakh in fixed deposits, Rs 96,000 deposited in coins in bank accounts. The GRP is trying to contact the 82-year-old's son, who lives in Rajasthan after his body was found by the tracks.
