The feature seems to work just like it does on “WhatsApp” as you’re given the option to delete a message just for you or delete a message for everyone. Now “Facebook Messenger” has started the same feature, this allows you to remove accidentally sent messages so that they're gone for everyone in the conversation, deleted once and for all. You don’t need to act fast, though - removal is only permitted within ten minutes of sending the message.
