The Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Rameswar Teli on Monday said free COVID-19 vaccines led to a hike in fuel prices. He said, "Petrol is not costly, the Centre and states have imposed taxes on petrol. You have received free COVID-19 vaccines...Where [will] the money for...vaccines...come from?...The cost of the vaccines has come from these taxes."
