In his first major international engagements after re-election, PM Narendra Modi will have bilateral meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Bishkek on June 13 and 14.
This will be Modi’s first engagement with world leaders after taking over as Prime Minister for a second term. On the possibility of a meeting with Pakistani PM Imran Khan, who will also be present in Bishkek, official sources said no bilateral engagement was under consideration as of now. “Reports appearing in the media about a meeting between the Indian and Pakistani PMs are entirely speculative,” an official said.
