Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu created history on Saturday as she overcame her Rio heartbreak to become the first Indian weightlifter to win the silver medal at the Olympic Games. Chanu also became the first Indian to win an Olympic medal at the 2020 Tokyo Games in the Women's 49kg category.
After winning her historic medal the 26-year-old showed her desire to have pizza and ice-cream after her historic medal as she hasn’t had her favourite foods for months.“I will eat pizza, and ice-cream. I haven’t eaten it for a while,” said Mirabai after her winning her Olympic medal.
Following her comment, Domino’s India has stepped up to offer her free pizzas - for life.
