Indian weightlifter, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, has won a silver medal at the 2022 World Weightlifting Championship after defeating China’s Hou Zhihua in the competition being held in Colombia.

The star weightlifter bagged the silver medal despite a wrist injury. The former world champion had hurt her wrist during a training session in September. The 28-year-old had also participated in the National Games that was held in October.
