The Camden Police Department is home to the oldest working police officer in Arkansas and one of the oldest in the country. 
After working in law enforcement for nearly 56 years, LC "Buckshot" Smith is one of the oldest police officers in the US. At 91, he continues serving his small town in Arkansas. He will be turning 92 in May and is showing no signs of slowing down. He works an eight hour shift four days a week, doing everything from patrolling school zones in the morning to escorting funerals. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, he also attended a lot of community meetings.
He says he won’t be retiring until the Good Lord says so.
