The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has claimed that at least 2,098 people have died in Delhi from coronavirus, contrary to the death figure of 984 released by the Delhi government in its latest bulletin. MCD has released a list of cremation figures for coronavirus-infected corpses, where it says 1,080 of these cases were recorded by South Delhi Municipal Corporation while 976 have been recorded by North Delhi Municipal Corporation and 42 by East Delhi Municipal Corporation. The government is yet to issue a statement on the same.
