Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the nation through his monthly radio broadcast 'Mann Ki Baat' which is the 108th edition of the programme, also the last for 2023.
The PM explained the importance of the number '108' while addressing the nation. He greeted the countrymen the new year and said people shared with him their memories of 2023 in letters to him. He said the country witnessed several accolades this year and asked the citizens to continue the zeal in the coming year.
"Even today, people send messages congratulating me for the success of Chandrayaan-3. I am sure, just like me, you would be proud of our scientists, especially our women scientists," the Prime Minister added.
He said people have written to him congratulations on the Chandrayaan-3 mission. The Prime Minister also recalled the Oscars awarded to 'Natu Natu' from RRR and another to 'The Elephant Whisperers'. He said athletes also brought glory to the nation in 2023 and the country is looking forward to a similar performance in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
"India becoming innovation hub is evidence that we are not going to stop," the Prime Minister said.
