Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has won the confidence motion via voice vote in the Assembly on Monday, retaining the coalition government led by BJP in the northeastern state. Eight out of total 24 Congress legislators were absent during the voting. After the trust vote, Congress MLAs raised protest and threw chairs in the well of the House.
