The central government has issued SOPs for passengers who will be arriving in India from the United Kingdom amid the concerns over the new Covid-19 strain. All the passengers arriving from the UK would be mandatorily subjected to self-paid RT-PCR tests on their arrival at the Indian airports, the government stated in the SOPs. Those who test negative for coronavirus would be advised quarantine at home for 14 days. The SOPs shall be valid till January 30 (23:59 hrs) or further orders whichever is earlier
