A man who attempted to desecrate the Guru Granth Sahib during a religious service at the Golden Temple in Punjab's Amritsar was killed during an altercation, police said on Saturday. The man tried to desecrate the book with a sword, police said, adding that he was taken out by the sangat. His body has been sent to the Civil Hospital.
