While talking about the repatriation of Indians from war-hit Ukraine, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said a majority of students chose to stay back as they didn't want their studies to be affected. "Some universities actively discouraged and showed reluctance to offer online courses," he said, adding that this led to nearly 18,000 students being stuck when the conflict began.
