Maharashtra Minister Eknath Shinde has said Reliance's plant in Gujarat's Jamnagar has agreed to supply additional 100 metric tonnes of oxygen to Maharashtra following a request made by CM Uddhav Thackeray. The minister proposed that tankers of Nitrogen could be used for transporting oxygen and they could be protected by police. Medical oxygen demand has increased amid rising coronavirus cases.
