Tamil Nadu also seems to be at a higher risk with over 8,000 cases, but it has a far lower death count at 53. West Bengal seems to be facing a higher risk from the virus in terms of mortality rate; the state has 2,063 cases but at least 190 deaths, signalling a high mortality rate.
