Farmers protests have continued in Maharashtra despite Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announcement to waive loans held by defaulting farmers with small pieces of land and low incomes. A debt-ridden farmer, Dhanaji Chandrakant Jadhav,who hung himself from tree in Solapur district 400 kms from Mumbai, left a note saying that he should not be cremated “Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis comes here.”
